Event time and date: Friday, May 26, 2023; 12 (noon) to 1 pm (ET)
Description:
Competency-based medical education (CBME) and assessment begins with learners, and most current efforts advancing CBME are focused on robust implementation in schools and training programs. But…..learning does not stop after formal training concludes, so continuing professional development for those in practice should also be guided by a seamless framework for ongoing learning, assessment, and growth.
Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1) Identify the challenges and barriers to implementation of CBME for continuous professional development
2) Describe case studies of how CBME might be applied to the education and practice continuum
3) Discuss examples of how CBME can be implemented for continuous professional development
